Lead Pastor Daryl McCready Pastor Daryl McCready is the founding pastor of SonRise Church, and has lived on the shore his entire life. After Daryl graduated from Crisfield High School he joined the United States Army. In 1988, he began working for the Ocean Pines police department, where he served for thirteen years before he was called to full time ministry and ordained in 2001 to start SonRise Church. He is married to Traci, and has three children; Adam, Meg, and Mandi.

Associate Pastor Kyle McDaniel Kyle lives in Berlin, Maryland with his wife, Tara, and their son, Nate.  He grew up in Prince George, Virginia and became a Christian when he was 15. He is a graduate of Liberty University in 2001 with a B.A. in Religion.  Afterward he attended The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary graduating in 2006 with a Master of Divinity. During his schooling, Kyle worked in several intern programs at various churches, primarily involved in ministry to college students.  SonRise Church is Kyle’s first pastorate and he began serving here in April, 2008.  Previously, Kyle worked for Starbucks Coffee company for almost six years. He was an assistant manager, then manager at the Starbucks in West Ocean City for nearly three years. Obviously, Kyle enjoys coffee. He also enjoys reading, fishing, the beach, and grilling.  He particularly likes reading the Bible, certain blogs, C.S. Lewis, John Eldredge, and Money Magazine.  If one were to ask Kyle what he loves most about Pastoring, he would say, “ Helping other people come to a greater understanding of Jesus Christ and deeper relationship with Him.”

Office Manager Terri Budd was raised in Chincoteague, Va. and moved to Berlin in 1992.  She has been a Christian for 35 years and has been with SonRise since the beginning.  She and her husband Louis were part of the core team that left Berlin First Baptist Church to help plant SonRise.  She was later hired as Church secretary in 2003 and then later promoted to the position of Office Manager.  She lives in Salisbury, MD and she and Louis have two sons Eric and Tyler.

Children's Ministry Director Karen Goggin is the director of our children's ministry known as Kingdom Kids. She is originally from Pennsylvania, but has been living on the shore for the past 30 years. Prior to SonRise Karen was the manager of a local restaurant, then became a stay at home mom in 1990 when her first son was born. Karen began attending SonRise in 2003 and immediately jumped into the children's ministry, she came on full time staff in April of 2004 to head up the entire program. She continues working toward an early education degree while taking care of her three sons; Seth, Sean, and Dillon

Visual Arts Coordinator Jenna Legnaioli has lived on the shore since she was four years old. She graduated from Stephen Decatur High School in 2003, and is currently attending Salisbury University for a degree in business. Jenna began attending SonRise in 2003, and became a christian in April of 2004. While attending school, she worked at a  restaurant for 8 years. It was in early 2006 that Jenna began volunteering for the video ministry at SonRise, and in June of 2007 became a part time staff member. January of 2008 she joined the staff full time as the visual art coordinator, and became part of the SonRise staff family.
